The role of our Local Governing Boards
Our Trust Board has established Local Governing Boards (LGB) at each school with significant delegated responsibilities. Our LGBs include elected parent governors, staff governors and governors from the local community. Our preferred model for LGB composition suggests nine local governors but this is not prescribed and current LGBs differ in size and organisation relative to their individual needs reflecting the uniqueness of each individual school. Our LGBs responsibilities are determined by our Trust’s Scheme of Delegation and the LGB Terms of Reference. A summary of the responsibilities and roles of our Members, Trustees and LGBs is attached below, along with the LGB Terms of Reference, and local governor role remits.
For each local Governor serving at any point over the last 12 months, their full names, date of appointment, term of office, date they stepped down (where applicable) and who appointed them is included on our Register of Business Interests page click here to view.
